i have the mk2 i got 2640 shots from 1 battery still not empty it was within 50minutes time but still a lot of shots

Great intro to the R62. It seems a really useful bit of kit with some great features; a switch from photo to video, focus breathing, a larger No. of shots per charge…. As u said it stands it’s ground as a good - poss great - camera; not just the R5’s little brother. Thks Kia & Loc.

Canon again took the ALL-I compression out of this one..
It's a shame because it could have been a Sony A7-4 competitor.
And for pro-camera users this is a joke. because the All-I is what separates the film industry from the simple consumers.
Canon, you wreck your own business because Fuji, Sony, Nikon now have all of the 4k parameters .. Actually Panasonic had it 10 years ago at a much lower price.. They ported amost of the industry features it from their Broadcast TV cameras.

Actually Panasonic is known for inventing most of the pro features now used / copied by all other makers, It's has Cinema 4k on every model including their first 4k revolution inside the GH4.
(Canon was the last to go even basic 4k !)

We had Canons in our family since the 1960’s, so it's a matter of being technically- honest, not out of hate.
Others have caught up, and are cheaper which is great for competition.

Most pros I work with have at least one Panasonic Gh5s or Mk ii or a 6.
because it has all the essentials áll in the one Camera (including Waveform), these are useful in the hands of any serious video guy..
You only need fullframe for photgraphy, bacause most cinema cameras are rarely full frame.
Photos need big sensor, Filming has other specs that comes easirr from a crop sensor. and M43 size is in the sweet spot.

Now 'All-I' + 'high transfer rates' don't cost Canon anything. It's already in their CPU Engine.. But crippling it (due to Greed) is a bussiness policy, Not a technical difficulty any more.

Simply means many customers (who do like Canon) won't buy this one for this simple omission.

Pana have been a ‘generous giver’ since they invented Mirrorless some 12 years ago. !

Sony too has closed the gap and exceeded Canon in all aspects (A7r5, A1, A7s3)
They even Got the idea of the Box-type cube shape of the FX3/ FX30 idea from Panasonic’s BGH1, which is a low –light GH5S tucked inside a versatile, modular cube.

Canon hasn't copied that cube bit yet.

Fuji is great for portrait (amazing lenses), Nikon Image quality kills Canon anyway (My opinion) but look at their recent models.
Not everyone can afford the Canon Cinema line, that explains why so many vloggers are beginning to dis it lately.
All brands will survive because of the popularity of vlogging

Canon could have made more money by selling more RF lenses by lowering their prices for the higher models, and stop this stupid habit of ' More models, each with less features).

I am afraid of buying Canon because As soon as I buy it , they will bring V.2 which still doesn't have the ALL-I video compression, or missing waveform, or even the horizon indicator during filming.
This is a money-grab excersiaze and I don't like it.

They should stop this 'cripple hammer', put more feature in fewer models (Like Panasonics), reduce the price and enjoy record profits from additional lens sales…. Canon your markrting CEO is destroyng the campany. Fools
