Support this channel on Patreon: 🤍 My first sampler (Akai X7000) in module form. With one of the more warm and creamy analog filters of any sampler. Even if the filter is not resonant and even if the sampler has no ADSR envelopes, just a release, it has a nice deep low end and a magic sound to it. It can be had for next to nothing these days and well worth picking up and use. In fact it should cost a lot more based on sound only. I judge a samplers filter based on how it sound on a synth string type of sound so you'll hear no beats in this demo. ;-) 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 Unfortunately it does not comply to the "standard" Midi Sample Dump protocol so with a fawlty Quick Disk drive like most of these has today, you have to use some old Atari or MAC to transfer sounds to and back from a computer. Or fix your quick disk system. Sampling itself is extremely fast and convenient so it's well worth spending a couple of minutes to sample some sounds before recording them in a session. The magic shine from the S700 will then grace your production! I use DistroKid for all my releases onto streaming services. There are 5 free sampled based VST plugins that will change your life! They are: Momentum, Poise, Bread Slicer, Grace, & TX16Wx. Momentum is a free version of Serato Sample (except free and actually has more options!). Poise is a MPC like one shot sampler (that works like a drum program). Bread Slicer is an audio effect that chops up samples automatically (great for DnB or any genre honestly). Grace is a one shot sampler (that has a few more bells and whistles than typical stock one shot samplers). The TX16wx is an one shot sampler with laying & mapping capabilities.
