Das Beispiel eines einfachen Bauteils mit der PartDesign Workbench in FreeCAD 0.19 vorgestellt. Im FreeCAD Wiki (Dokumentation) gibt es einige sehr schöne Beispiele zum Einüben der PartDesign Workbench für Einsteiger und Anfänger in der Software FreeCAD. Manche davon sind leider nicht mehr ganz up-to-date vom Stand der FreeCAD Version und von den empfohlenen Arbeitsweisen. Daher zeige ich hier in diesem Video eine Herangehensweise, wie sauber in der PartDesign Workbench ein solches Beispiel konstruiert werden kann. Dies geschieht unter geschicktem Ausnutzen von Symmetrien im Bauteil und der Verwendung von Skizzen, Bezugsebenen und Ausdrücken (Expressions). Heute stieß ich im FreeCAD Wiki auf ein Part Design Tutorial für einen Block mit ein paar interessanten Formelementen. Da bekam ich Lust, das Teil einfach mal schnell nachzubasteln. Das Tutorial erscheint in meiner Serie "Quick Model", wo ich nicht alle Schritte ausschweifend und langatmig erkläre, so dass einem die Füße einschlafen, sondern das Modell schnell nachbaue und dennoch genug dazu an Infos zur Vorgehensweise und zu den genutzen Befehlen während dem Konstruieren raushaue. Das Topological Naming Problem in FreeCAD detailliert vorgestellt und gezeigt wie man damit umgehen kann. Florian von "flowwie's corner" zeigt in diesem Tutorail der "FreeCAD Wiki Reihe" im Detail, um was es sich beim Topological Naming Problem, kurz Toponaming, handelt, und wie man damit umgehen kann. Kurz gesagt, ist das Topological Naming dafür verantwortlich, dass es in FreeCAD häufig zu Fehlermeldungen und Problemen kommt, wenn man versucht, nachträglich Geometrie zu ändern und es bereits Elemente gibt, welche sich auf bereits vorhandene Geometrie beziehen. Durch interne Namensänderung der Geometrie-Elemente kommt es dazu, dass die neuen Objekte nicht mehr richtig zugewiesen und ausgeführt werden können. Außerdem erhaltet Ihr hier Tipps, wie Ihr künftig Fehler und Probleme vermeidet und es gibt ein paar Ideen zu einem sauberen Workflow inkl. der Benutzung von Bezugsobjekten und der Vermeidung von externen Referenzen. Das Toponaming tritt quer durch viele verschiedene Workbenches auf: Part, Part Design, TechDraw und Baugruppen Workbenches sind nicht sicher davor. Am Ende gibt es noch einen Vergleich zwischen FreeCAD und OnShape, um zu zeigen, wie eine professionelle Software nachträgliche Geometrie-Änderungen handhabt. In FreeCAD 0.19 haben wir im Part Design mit den beiden Befehlen "Pocket" und "Hole" Befehle, mit denen wir von einem 3D-Körper Material abziehen können und die beide recht ähnlich funktionieren. Wie unterscheiden sich diese beiden Befehle und für welchen Anwendungsfall nimmt man welchen davon? Die Tasche (Pocket) nimmt man für eine Aussparung in beliebiger Form. Dazu benötigt wird eine Skizze mit einer geschlossenen Kontur. Achtung: Mehr als zwei ineinander liegende Konturen sind nicht erlaubt. In this episode we have a look at one of the fundamental tutorials from the official FreeCAD documentation.
